Hi Jim, You don't have to shut JAWS off if you wish to keep it installed, but be sure you're not going to have two speech programmes competing for the sound card. In other words, yes, at the very least you will need for JAWS not to speak. You can accomplish this in various ways. The best thing for you to do (because you won't have to do anything each time afterwards) is to copy the RUBY.JCF and OBU.JCF files from your \RUBY\BACKUPS folder to your JFWXXX\SETTINGS|ENU folder, where XXX represents the version of JAWS you are running.
