Hi. My brother was formerly using a Compaq computer running Windows 95 and
Jaws version 3.2, with a Logitech keyboard with extra keys for Internet
functions. This setup worked fine for him. He has since purchased a Dell
computer running Windows 98 the Second Edition and decided to not use the
Dell keyboard but instead the Logitech keyboard. The problem is, when he
installs the Key Commander software which is necessary for the extra keys
to work, JFW behaves poorly (he is now using 3.31 with
Eloquence.) Sometimes the control key does not silence speech, and
sometimes the cursor pad arrows do not interrupt speech while moving around
on the desktop, although the numeric keypad interrupts speech with no
problems. Key interruptability is enabled in the default.jcf file; we
checked. When Key Commander is uninstalled, everything works fine,
although we no longer have access to the extra Internet function keys. Can
anyone offer some suggestions as to what is happening with JFW and the Key
Commander software?

                     Godspeed,
        David Goldfield
