Hi Geoff.
I had a good chuckle over your message, specially the slagging that you gave JFW.
Since you don't even have the latest version. Something that I have being meaning to
say, is that not all the problems that you get are JFW related, even when it appears
to be so.
If you install product a, JFW, Product b and then Product C. Anyone of these programs
could change one of the window system files that any of the others are dependent on,
which will make your system unstable. A good example of this, is Visual Fox Pro 6. I
was dam sure that JFW was causing the problems that I was having with this application
that I was using which was written in Fox pro. After a lot of troubleshooting,
another tech support guy I knew mention that Fox pro applications don't work correctly
in 256 color depth. You need 16 bit or higher. So the problems that I was having
were not even JFW related. I have seen this sort of problem with other applications.
this is why it is so hard to determine if the problem is JFW or not.
Regards
Sean.
