Just a short note to say that 200 years ago Hindus were under the rule of the
British and 1000 years ago were ruled by Moghuls and Muslims, then by the
Portuguese, French, etc. I am sure you have heard of the Goan Inquisition by
the Portuguese, which was as shameful as the Spanish Inquisition in the
Americas against the Indegenous Indian People.
The Britsh helped to consolidate the position of the Missionaries, particularly
against the tribals who were not educated.
I agree it is the fault of the Hindus to have given shelter to all and sundry
who came in the country, even not being able to differentiate betweem wolves in
sheep's attire, like the East India Comp who came to trade but through
treachery remained as Rulers, like Gaznavi (or is it Ghouri) who was defeated
16 times and pardoned by Prithvi Raj Chauhan, but through treachery of bribing
Jaichand defeated Prithvi Raj the 17th time and killed him, but first gauged
his eyes out. Hindus gave shelter to the Parsis, Jews and all others who were
persecuted in thgeir own countries and found solace in India, at that time
India was producing 27% of world's needs. All these invaders came to India not
out of their charity to save the people of India from Satan and give them Roti,
but were attracted by the welath it possessed and came to loot it away, which
continues even today.
I am sure you have also heard of how the people of Kenya were deceived from
owning their own land, and as Jomo Kenyatta, the father of the nation, said
that "the white man came in white robes and asked me to kneel down and close my
eyes - and when I opened them I saw a big book in my hand - and I looked up and
saw that all my land around me was not mine anymore".
I am sure you do not want me to talk about how the Masai of Kenya, Maoris of
New Zealand, Aborigins of Australia, and almost all the orginal people of the
world have been treated by the Missionaries.
In the Ramayana and Mahabharata, there is no mention of any status based on
caste, in Adi Shankaracharya's edicts (1000 years ago) there is also no mention
of caste, in the Vedas there is none either, so when did it enter the Indian
Society? I think all of us should read Swami Vivekanand and Sister Nivedita's
writings on Education in India and historical analysis how castism creeped in
and when? Also read Six Glorious Epochs of Indian History by Veer Savarkar and
also some excerpts from Discovery of India by Jawahar Lal Nehru. There are so
many facts that will clear the air over who did what.

I find your response interesting indeed.
Are you implying that CHRISTIANS in the western
countries (USA and UK)are tolerant towards the HINDUS/
MUSLIMS living amongst them not at all trying to
convert them by any means... but the same Christians
in UK/USA are pooling money to support the NGOs and
sending them (missionaries) to countries like India to
supress and opress the Hindus, adivasis and non
adivasis and lure and convert them.

Discriminated by who? the Christian minority? I have
lost the logical thread somehow. The NGOs you name
have helped Indian people ( and people all over the
world) in need rather than coerced any one to be
converted.
It is only natural for any one in dire state of need
to like the religion of the helper.I am sure going by
the forum debates there will be more adivasis
converted to Hinduism in future as part of the
enlightment
I am very pleased as a Christian to know through this
forum that the Hindutvadi are now helping the
downtrodden Adivasis.
I am not very good in History and geography... . but
can some one educate me where were the Hindutvavadis
when the missionaries came to India > 200 yrs ago to
help, heal and educate the poor in India. The
discrimination by the Upper caste against the lower
caste and adivasis was as bad as the apartheid based
just on skin colour!
Religion is one's personal belief in whatever higher
supreme being and to use this as discriminating factor
is rather sad.
