*Padhaai Likahi Aur Internet* ** In today's world no body can ignore the advantages of Internet. It becomes a part of our daily life, no matter wherever you are residing in this world. Specially, Padhaai Likhai (Academic) community has changed a lot because of Internet. Padhaai-Likahi (Academic Activity) is no more tedious or boring now, just because of Internet. Everything becomes the IT (Internet Tech) driven in modern world. In last two decades we got two new utility items, cell-phone and Internet. In India, till 1990 hardly we were used to hear this 'Internet' word in our life. That was time, when a big box of Colour TV set or Telephone was kind of a status symbol. Now, we Indian are the one of the largest Internet users. Although, it's also a fact that we have largest no. of population that, still does not know exactly, what is this Internet thing. Now, we moved in the time where notebook that was normally known as paper-notebook is replaced by e-notebook (laptop). On which you can work more efficiently than a paper-notebook and your documents become automatically stored to your online document's folder once you get connected to Internet. So, now no more bigly worry, if you lost or forgot to carry your notebook as long as you can afford to connect yourself with Internet. Internet has brought us unlimited information with easy access. And, web search engine become a kind of lamp of Allaudin (Alla-u-din Ka Chirag), that is answering all questions almost perfectly. Also, Internet gives you option to customise your answer as per your need, this depends on how you use a few keywords. You type one word at your search engine and in fraction of a second, a million web pages display. But, Most of the contents are a whole lot of opinions from unreliable sources. And we have become dependent on others opinions. Have we forgotten to start answering with our own opinions for any question? In education, learning is a process that involves thinking, assimilating and gathering. But, in today's scenario, students only concentrate on the gathering bit. Ask any academic expert, what is the role of 'cut, copy and paste' in present time? It becomes an important part of our education system and students have no botheration to know that, 'cut, copy and paste' was once an 'edit property' of menu of Microsoft office documents. So, can we see where that investigative spirit is? Here, we see how much education has been influenced by internet technology but, it is restricted to well-off countries and cities of the world. In our country 80 percent or more of the population is still can't afford this Internet technology, that is not only because of economic poverty but, also due to Internet-illiteracy. I hope we will have to run Internet-literacy program along with basic literacy one since, Internet literacy can come only after basic literacy and Internet reach is becoming more affordable than electric power supply. So it's a nice question, how to reduce Internet poverty line especially in education sector that is producing India's highest revenue generating export produce (Human Capital). Lately World Bank has said, India is the top receiver of migrant remittances while, the United States is the main remittance source. If United States is inducing the India's brain-drain by investing a huge capital in its own merit based education systems and skilled-emigrant policy in order to boom their internal economy then, in contrast India has no more left behind in growing the population of its global citizens. In long run, this policy would create more and more techie city like Bangalore. So, is it good to give a big slice of cake to others for getting a small slice of cake for itself rather than nothing?
