Five-day Adivasi Festival "Adirang" would be organised based on the tribal arts 
of Madhya Pradesh under the joint aegis of Tribal Research and Development 
Institute, Government of Madhya Pradesh and in association with Indira Gandhi 
National Museum of Mankind (IGNMM) from February 28 to March 4 at the premises 
of IGNMM, Shyamla Hills. 
Minister for Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe Welfare Department, Government 
of Madhya Pradesh Jagannath Singh would inaugurate the Adirang on Saturday at 
12 noon as chief guest at IGNMM. 

Exhibition of traditional costume, ornaments, tattoo arts etc of tribal would 
also be organised during the festival from 2 to 7 pm. Apart from this, folk 
dance and songs of tribal as Gond, Baiga, Bhil, Korku, Bhariya, Sahariya, would 
be presented. 

A workshop based on tribal arts would be organised. Under this programme a 
health check up camp would also be organised for the tribal artists and various 
information about several financial schemes would be provided from March 1 to 4 
from 11 am to 1.30 pm at the training centre of IGNMM.

Around 250 tribal artists from Mandla, Dindori, Balaghat, Shahdol, Sidhi, Dhar, 
Jhabua, Harda, Khandwa, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Hoshangabad etc of Madhya Pradesh 
will be taking part in the programme and they would put up their latent talent 
through it. During the festival, IGNMM would provide bus service for the 
visitors from Jawahar Chowk Bus Depot to IGNMM from 2 to 7 pm everyday.
