It is ironical that in the west Christians are loosing ground against other faiths and their flock of faithfuls is decreasing at an alarming rate. This is the field Missionaries need to concentrate and ensure that they do not get defeated on homeground, instead of playing on the sentiments of the disadvantaged innocent people of tribal hinterland of India. They are persuing this line only because of the innocence of these people as they are easy prey for their agenda.
Even the Pope had stated that in the 19th Century Christians hoisted the flag of CHristianity in Americas, in the 20th Cent in Africa, and now in the 21st Cent they must hoist the flag in India as this is the biggest prize of them all. Conquer India and the war is won, as 1 billion faithfuls would swell their numbers beyond anyone's reach. India, not Pakistan or Bangaldesh, since these two later countries are a different proposition (or put it mildly, the Christian firepower is not capable of taking on another Abrahmic and invasive faith). This leaves us to conclude that Hindus are INTOLERABLY TOLERANT, but then again, tolerance is their greatest strength, so let us all keep on steadfastly on the path of Self discipline, Unity in Diversity, and the power of good management and governance. These are the three things that the doctor should prescribe since we lack them. Otherwise we have the natural and intellectual resources to bring about peace throught the world. Let us not forget that we did conquer the whole world and Bharat was the Mother of the whole Humanity 2000 years ago, but she did not use force, deciet, or conversions to win the people of other lands. It was through sheer cultural and intelectual prowess Indians were able to sit on the World throne and never did She invade any other country nor did her People send missionaries to convert others of different faith, only through Universal Principles of: 1. Vasudhaiva Kutumbakama - World is one Family 2. Ekam Sat Vipraha Bahuda Vadanti - Truth is one, wise men in different ERAs have called it by different names. 3. Sarva Dharma Sambhava - All faiths are equal. It is like four blind men, who when they see an elephant give different descriptions of the animal because one has touched the trunk, 2nd has felt the legs, 3rd has caught its tail, and 4th has grobed at the big years. All of them are right but their description is not complete and whole, only partial (blind), while Hindu Dharma is like all of them put together. In 1730, before the East India Co came, India was supplying 27% of the world's GDP, and when the British left in 1947, India was hardly producing 1%. This clearly demonstrates the role played by East India Co and later the British in reducing great India to the level of a beggar nation. In all this the role of the missionaries has been to collude with the Colonial power, first to ensure that the British Rule prevails, and secondly to increase their number of faithfuls. Let none of us have any delusions of their agenda in this matter, whether I am ignorant or not, matters not. When contacted, Dharmasena state unit chief Kishore Kothari told TOI, "Our members weren't involved. The villagers told us about the health camp when we were holding a meeting in the village. I told them that our activists can't intervene in such cases." Kothari then added, "I later learnt that the villagers themselves attacked the health camp. The missionaries are fooling innocent people on the pretext of curing them of their ailments. The government should immediately ban such camps since these promote religious conversions." Raipur range IG Y K S Thakur said, "A resident of Dhamtari has been arrested. We are interrogating the accused." Late last year, Dharmasena activists blackened a pastor's face and garlanded him with shoes. In September 2007, the Hindu activists had stopped four St Xavier's School buses, asked the children to get off, sand then burnt the vehicles. In April 2007, an American resident of Raipur was assaulted on mere suspicion that he was involved in missionary activity. He was merely married to a woman from Raipur and had nothing to do with conversion. Raipur's Christians are unwilling to speak out against the Dharmasena as they fear any such "provocation" would adversely affect their educational and other service institutions. Meanwhile, the National Commission of Minorities has accused the Orissa government of being "negligent" in dealing with the recent violence against the Christians. "The government and local officials had been warned of trouble as early as on December 22. But they did not take any action," said a member of the NCM delegation. timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/msid-2709209,prtpage-1.cms -- Jharkhand News [EMAIL PROTECTED] Jharkhand Online Network http://www.jharkhand.org.uk [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ________________________________________________________________________ AOL's new homepage has launched.
