So each time I help out a person of another religion, I expect him to
convert to my beliefs as well?
That makes no sense. As far as I know I have asked or don't even think of a
person's religion, when I help him.

Using social deprivation, to destroy a person's native religion is very
unfortunate. IT is sheer exploitation. Has the condition of converted
Africans, native Indians in the Americas, Aborigines in Australia,
Fillipinos in Phillipinnes and 100 other places improved.
Not to my knowledge. They lost their spiritual heritage and physical assets
too. As some one said...

The below is imperial truth, then and now.

*"When the Missionaries arrived, the Africans had the Land and the
Missionaries had the Bible. They taught how to pray with our eyes closed.
When we opened them, they had the land and we had the Bible".
