Herbal gardens in MP tribal villages Bhopal | Friday, May 2 2008 IST http://news.webindia123.com/news/Articles/India/20080502/944357.html
More than 5,000 herbal home gardens have been developed in the backyards in remote tribal villages of Madhya Pradesh under the Rural Livelihood Project funded by the Department for International Development(DFID) of United Kingdom. Aimed at conserving bio-diversity and reviving indigenous knowledge, the herbal gardens have mostly come up in Dhar, Jhabua, Barwani, Mandla, Dindori, Anuppur, Shahdol and Sheopur districts. Livelihood support centres, one to serve at least two gram panchayats, would be set up for registration of workers having skills and the data about rural artisans would be made available to potential employers, official sources said today. -- (UNI) -- 02DR4.xml
