Hi Moderator: This forum I believe has increased in numbers by leaps and bounds. Many people join the group even now and it is only going to increase in the future.
Still our primary mode of communication remains through emails. We get so many emails daily, that at times it becomes a bit inconvenient for us to go through everything. Also it is hard for the email posters to group the emails logically. My suggestion is to have a website for jharkhand Group, and I am not someone who would just suggest it. I would like to make the website myself. This would offer the following features: 1. Registered members can post articles, their opnions and other people can participate on it via comments. (Just like rediff articles) 2. This will also have forum to discuss standard topics. This will make things very structured and would give the member a chance to pick what he is going to read and what not. 3. It can have all the info about the groups. 4. Event management 5. POLLs to participate 6. And many other features you would like to have What we would need: 1. One hosting server that would cost around $60 to $100 per year which is not a big amount for a group having 2000 members into it. We have 50+ members in the club and communication via yahoo groups used to create lot of chaos at times. This has helped us by a great deal. What do you think about this?
