Dear Venkat
I have gone through with your response countering my views on Dissent is
democracy and consensus is fascist. Only denouncing the communists and trying
to through stones on the head of other religions would not be helpful proving
your thoughts truth, which was concocted and structured illogically. I never
tried to defend Indian communists especially those comrades who are using
parliamentary path and making several ideological compromises due to electoral
politics. My endeavor was/ is only to deal with the issue through its classical
meanings. Democracy, as a responsible concept/ system providing equal
opportunity to everyone, has no space for anarchy. It is a consolidated
version of different views and confronting authoritarianism. If you have
democratic conciseness, it is possible to make consensus within your periphery
on critical issues.
By the end of democracy fascism takes place its journey forward. We are in
Nation building process till today, since independence. We could not resolve
the issues of religious and linguistic minorities as well as abolish the
regional imbalances in our developmental paradigm. We are facing so-many
hurdles in this regard. Making national unity with its diversity is a
challenging task before us, while ruling classes are abdicating from its
responsibilities. We have forgotten the spirit and agenda settled by first
independence war fought in 1857.
It is forthcoming agenda for Indians and united India, once again, combat
imperialism and communalism for building a sovereign nation.
