The `sex scam' that rocked the city on Thursday has taken an intriguing twist
with the victim charging the pastor with secretly filming her sexual acts and
selling the tapes to foreigners.

The widow, 40, in a complaint to the Jnanabharati police, has alleged that
pastor Babu Prasad of Mizpha Church, located in Rajajingar's Gopalpur area,
sexually exploited her on the promise of marrying her.

The woman, who attempted suicide twice on learning about the `porn CDs',
narrated her travails to Bangalore Mirror: "I lost my husband in an accident 23
years ago and I am a mother of a college-going son. I continued my husband's
business and was leading a decent life till I was taken to the Mizpha church by
a friend."

She was introduced to Pastor Prasad. Subsequently, she took a liking for his
motivational talks. Prasad allegedly knew she was emotionally weak. "Prasad's
wife and relatives started visiting my house and persuaded me to embrace their
faith. Prasad also used my house for conducting prayers. On April 1, asked me
to return home from my factory. On my return, he exploited me sexually and got
the whole act recorded."

She claimed Prasad took her to a hotel on St Mark's Road on May 4 and
introduced her to two Americans. "He gave them the CD and asked me to spend a
night with them. I refused and managed to escape with the CD. When I played it
at home, I realised how I was deceived," she said.

"When I questioned him, he said there was nothing wrong in making porn videos
and selling it to foreigners," she said and charged Prasad with taking away her
ornaments and using her to obtain a Rs 12 lakh loan.

Meanwhile, Prasad lodged a complaint with the Vijayanagar police accusing her
of drugging him before forcing him to have sex with her. Bangalore Mirror tried
to contact him on his cellphone, but in vain.

The police said the pastor is absconding. They, however, admit the case is a
sensitive one.......
