Absulutely right Dr. Fernandes That looked more like a propaganda piece than any fact finding Bobby Kunhu Dr Walter Fernandes I think it is time we stopped attributing a religious identity to every discussion on ideology. Religion is one of many identities one lives with. It is true that the Fascists in Italy were Catholics by birth. That does not create an identity between the two. Fascism is a political need and can be followed by followers of any religion or by atheists. In India it may be done in the name of Hinduism. That does not identify Hinduism with Fascism. It belongs to the extreme right wing that uses religion for its own ends, just as Hitler who too was a Catholic by birth did with Nazism and the Jews are doing in the name of Zionism. George Bush uses his fundamentalist Christian beliefs for this purpose. That does not identify Fascism with any religion. It is important to realises religious identity is one of many we have. Fascism belongs mainly to our class/caste identity.
