After the unfortunate Terrorist Attack on Mumbai on 26th November many mails
have been posted in this yahoo group. Many are expressing their sympathy /
homage to martyrs and those who lost their lives; many are suggesting, many are
blaming and etc. etc.
I don’t know about others, but at least all these appeared somewhat
disgraceful.
Everybody is giving FUNDA. Nothing wrong as it is their fundamental right. And,
giving FUNDA is the easiest thing to do than anything else in the world.
Many are blaming the Political Leaders only. Many are blaming the Congress led
UPA government and some are blaming BJP. It seems that some of the members of
this yahoogroup are also politically motivated. They are also playing
blame-games here. Here I must clear that I am not a supporter of Congress or
BJP but I don’t oppose any of them too. I alone cannot decide in making a
government, it is the whole Indian citizens / voters who decide.
No doubt there were 100s of terrorist attacks during the tenure of this UPA
government. Many of the group-members have also said that these increased
numbers of attacks are due to the withdrawal of POTA. Frankly speaking I have
not gone through the said ACT. And, I am not sure all those talking about the
ACT have gone through it? May be withdrawing the POTA might have motivated
these terrorists. But I have seen the Policewalas misusing it. They used to
threatening even the INNOCENT (not guilty) villagers, “JYADA BOLOGE TO POTA MEI
BAND KAR DENGE.” I myself have saved / released two village boys in TEBO Ghat,
from getting arrested under POTA (?) by a sub-inspector. Then I had to argue
with that Inspector for half an hour, and finally he released and escaped from
the site before the villagers could have beaten him and his 5 men.
As far the recent terrorist attacks are concerned, I am still to understand a
basic question. “Ki ATANKWADI UN HOTELS (Taj, Oberoi etc) MEI KAISE GHUSE, WO
BHI ITNI MATRA MEI GOLA-BARUD-HATHIYAR KE SATH?” As we know that there is
supposed to be strict security check of the guests (or anybody) coming to a
Hotel like TAJ. Whatever has happened is the failure of Security system of the
Hotels. The Hotel Management are the main culprits. Here no government can save
such things. What can one prime minister, one home minister, 29 chief
ministers, the MLA or MP can do here? One person cannot see the security of 32
lacs square kms of Indian Area. As far Hotels are concerned, they are the
businessmen. They are least concerned about the person coming is terrorist or
innocent citizen? You visit any hotel, you will be greeted generously, “Please
Sir, welcome sir, this way sir” and their staff themselves will take your
luggage to the rooms. Atleast they must
check the luggage. But here also we the Indian public may resist, “KYA HUM
ATANKWADI LAGTE HAIN, JO HUMARE BAG KI TALAHI LOGE?”
Problem with we, the INDIAN PUBLIC is that we only know the blame games. We
only blame government for their incompetency or corruption or whatever else,
but what we contribute towards community / national security! Big answer is
probably “NIL”.
Secondly, as far the said terrorist attacks are concerned; it is also the
failure of the whole SECURITY SYSTEM including Intelligence system, the Navy
and the State Police.
See, we Indians have the bad habit of “DIGGING WELL WHEN THE HOUSE IS ON FIRE.”
We don’t believe in PREVENTIVE / PROACTIVE APPROACH. We only believe in the
RE-ACTIVE / BREAKDOWN APPROACH. Forget about such attacks, you name any recent
problems such as Mumbai Flood, KOSHI (Bihar) Flood; all those unfortunate
incidents happened only because of our laziness or carelessness. Even we talk
about the said attacks, I am sure we will forget everything within 1-2 weeks.
We cannot learn from anything.
Next we also blame the Security System. But how many of us can willingly dare
to join ARMY / AIR FORCE / NAVY / POLICE? How many of us can motivate our
relatives (sons / daughters / brothers etc.) to join the forces / police?
Answer is nothing but “ZERO”. Forget about these, most of us hesitate to give
daughters to the Armymen / BSF / Armed Focres and Security Fighters.
There are countless factors which we Indians fail to take care before avoiding
such terrorist attacks.
As far political leaders are concerened; WO TO APNI ADAT SE MAZBOOR HAIN, AISI
SITUATION MEI BHI WO NETAGIRI SE KYUN CHUKEGA? Every leader is trying to take
advantage from the opportunity. Some are declaring Rs. 1 Crores to Martyres.
GHOSHNA KARNE MEI KYA JATA APNE POCKET SE THODE HI JATA HAI. ELECTION KA BHI
MAHAUL HAI NA! I don’t know, how many such declarations are actually
implemented / fulfilled in India. I had met some Air Force soldiers who
survived from KARGIL (when I was in NCC), they told me about their battle
experience, that we can not imagine.
Even the Electronic Media is encashing the situation. There are “VICHAR
VIMARSH” shows in every channel. And, there also our FUNDEBAAZ INDIAN PUBLIC
are giving FUNDE? “This should be done, that should not.” But I am sure when
the times come to fight against such situation, those FUNDEBAZs will be the
first to escape from site!
If I am not wrong, I think half of the manpower and resources of INDIAN
SECURITY is spent in the name of security of VIPs including LEADERS, MINISTERS,
EX-MINISTERS, CRICKETERS and like that. Means there is no security personnel
left for the security of general public!
We are mostly concentrating on the INDO-PAK boarder. But, what about the
Bangladesh Boarder? I have met some people from that Areas (I have few friends
working in that Area also); if they are not wrong; the Bangladesh Boarder is
VERY RELAX. They say, “AREY YAHAN TO IDHAR KE LOG UDHAR AUR UDHAR KE LOG IDHAR
AATE JATE HAIN. YE BSF WALON KO 10/- DE DO TO KAAM BAN JATA HAI.” Means Price
of our security system is Rs. 10/-, then what will happen?
I have been watching the live battle of the said attack in TV. In some places I
had to pity with the security officers. Those Brave (or say Helpless) Officers
were fighting with PISTOLS! MATLAB HUMARE FORCE KE PASS ATANKWADIYON SE LADNE
KE LIYE SIRF PISTOL HAIN! Whereas, those terrorists had every modern
ammunitions. Is this our strength? Corruption is not only in government, it is
also in the SECURITY SYSTEM. Crores of Money is spent in the name of Security,
but where is the security! Lot of politics is also grown up in the Forces. Ones
I met with a lady working in NAVY while going to Vishakhapatnam from Delhi in
train. I told her that, “I was also intended to join the Forces (especially the
Indian Navy and Air Forces) after my matriculation, because there is a
disciplined and meaningful life. In 1997 I had cleared written / physical /
medical tests for a post in Navy. But I could not go for INTERVIEW as the
interview date was preponed.” Then she
told, “Sir, it was your luck that you are now at better place. Even if you
could join the Navy, you could not grow there. This is not good for career
point of view. Lot of internal Politics sir.” I don’t know how much true were
her words. But that led me to think otherwise. Even if you see the policewalas,
they are also as corrupt as politicians. Their duty sells in Rs. 50/-. Many of
them are selected with the help of Bribe.
I have also heard that there were only 10 terrorists. Those were capable and
daring enough to kill 200 people including Security Personnel! See, we Indians
talk about UNITY and BRAVERY, but in real we don’t have UNITY at all. AREY HUM
TO AAPAS MEI LADTE RAHTE HAIN, KABHI JATI KE NAAM PAR, KABHI DHARM KE NAAM PAR!
We only think about earning money, for that we can neglect our social /
national security or welfare. Even if you see in officers level people, they
will escape from their responsibility, “YE MERA KAAM NAHIN HAI.” Atleast 1000
people could have been inside the Hotel during the attack. TO KYA WO 1000 LOG

HIMMAT DIKHAYA HOTA TO SHAYAD 100 LOG AUR BACH JATE! LEKING HUM INDIAN PUBLIC
TO SIRF FUNDE MAAR SAKTE, KAR NAHIN SAKTE.” I know what I am writing is not a
easy task. SAMNE BANDUK HO TO MAI BHI DARR JAHUNGA.
Then some news came that INTELLIGENCE walas had given the “INFORMATION”
earlier. Funny thing! AREY BABA PAHLE PATA THA TO ACTION LIYA KYUN NAHIN? After
Ahmedabad blasts, a news was also being shown in a TV channel, “AHMEDABAD BLAST
KA MASTERMIND NEPAL KI OR JA RAHA HAI.” Arey bhai, news mei bata kyun rahe ho,
jaa ke pakdo na, ya phir police ko batao. Indian Public ko BEWKOOF kyun banate
ho!
Thing is, we should stop talking like fools. If we cannot do anything, then
atleast we can better keep quite. Atleast we don't have right to dishonour
those who lost their lives in the attack (while fighting or without fighting).
