I agree that Honorary Degrees should only be awarded to those men and women who have made a significant contribution in their chosen sphere of work. Awarding these degrees willy nilly would not only devalue them but also make a laughing stock of those to whom they are awarded simply because they would be considered by their fellow country men and women to be undeserving as well as not entitled to such honour.
