Greetings. The year 2008 had witnessed crisis globally both at the political and financial fronts. And, going by the global and domestic research reports, the year 2009 may throw more challenges for a developing country like India more so for the backward states like Odisha. Hence, it would be a mere customary on any body's part to repeat: Happy New Year. Instead, Janata Vikas Manch (JVM), a political forum, calls all to gear up to meet the visible challenges both at the political and financial fronts in the New Year 2009. JVM has already conveyed all on the evolution of the new political forum which has been widely covered recently by the state media. We have already conveyed that JVM will evolve a draft policy framework on Agriculture, industry, health, education, women, youth, environment, labour and employment, governance with a special reference to social change and communal hormony within a month – by January end, 2009. Apart from these, a special attention will be paid on the infrastructure specially railways and the financial inclusion including banking network. And, this draft policy will be discussed and debated publicly before finalizing the same.
