It is nothing but a wishful thinking or to say, A Fool' Paradise, of the GOI to expect Pakistan to take any punitive action against those responsible for 26/11 Terror Attack and / or to accede to Indian request to handover the suspected terrorists to India. International Diplomacy has obvious limitations as first it has to watch its own interest, USA will never dump Pak for the sake of India, various US Senior Dignitaries and Officials have given confusing and varying statements, UK Foreign Secretary has not supported Indian stand, China will never support India, Russia and other countries have given lip service only. Even announcement of Pakistan's Internal Affairs Minister constituting a high level Investigation Team is an eye wash. India will go on saying that it has given adequate proof of Pak hand and Pak will go on denying it and asking more credible proof and it will never end. While War may not be an immediate option, Nothing prevents India to take other actions what it can take itself. Like, it can make public the contents of Dossier handed over to Pak, expedite Kasab's trial to the logical end, provide legal aid to him so that he is not acquitted on technical grounds, arrange his confessional statements before a Magistrate so that to make it admissible evidence in the court of law, suspend the bilateral trade, road / rail movement of goods and people, suspend all visas to Pak nationals, recall its ambassador and down grade Indian Ambassador's office in Pak. Again surprising, what is preventing GOI and GOM to fix responsibility and take punitive action against those responsible for failure of Intelligence, Naval, Coastal, Mum Police and guarding of coastal borders, delay in response to terror attack more particularly in sending Commandos, etc. GOI has yet to come out with the effective measures to prevent terror attacks; its steps to constitute NIA, establishing regional hubs of National Commandos are more in the nature of strengthening investigations and response to terror attacks. When India will rise beyond Political and Bureaucratic level? only time will tell. Thanks G K Agrawal
