Hyderabad, Jan 12 / 2009: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy 
today said crash courses would be run for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled 
Tribes (ST), Backward Classes(BC) and Minorities students to compete for the 
post of 53,000 teachers and backlog vacancies.


Reviewing the proposal for crash courses for SCs, STs, BC and Minorities 
students with officials, he said the month-long intensive coaching throughout 
the state would enable these candidates to prepare well for the District 
Selection Committee test and compete for the open category as well.

He hoped that interested, eligible and meritorious candidates of these sections 
would be able to compete for the open category and get reasonable number of 
posts.

He said of the Rs 4,000 given to each student Rs 1,500 would for the coaching 
centre and Rs 2,500 for the student's expenses and study materials.

The courses would be conducted in February and March, he added.
