Greetings from Orissa Election Watch



“The Orissa Election Watch”  ,an initiative by Jana Adhikar Abhijan &  the 
State Chapter of National Election Watch is holding a State level Convention to 
discuss the important issues on electoral reforms build a better environment 
for  free and fair election by  promoting meaningful participation of civil 
society  on the eve of forthcoming Election to Loksabha and Orissa Legislative 
Assembly.



The purpose of this convention is to discuss important issues in electoral 
reforms, develop a strategy for civil society groups to ensure free and fair 
election, promoting clean candidates & responsive Governance, ensuring access 
of the people to information on candidates and making the system more 
transparent. . Around 100 participants from across the state of Orissa, 
including representatives of Political Parties civil society groups, Media, 
Eminent citizens, Bureaucrats, Corporate, are expected to participate.



We would request you to kindly make it convenient to participate in the 
convention, support this endeavor to promote suitable electoral reforms and 
ensure free and fair election.



Travel Reimbursement -   Travel in shortest route by bus or II class Train Fare 
shall be reimbursed  to the participants  coming from outside Bhubaneswar(of 
course to the participants who need travel support) with production of original 
tickets.

Accommodation – Accommodation has been arranged at Redcross Bhawan from 3rd 
evening to 5th  March Morning. The participants who required accommodation pl 
inform by 28 th February.



Participants are required to reach in the evening of 3rd March or by 9 A.M. of 
4th March at Redcross Bhawan.
