** <http://www.jharkhand.org.in/contact.htm> <http://www.jharkhand.org.in/forum> ** Mamata flays JMM plea for inclusion of WB dists in Jharkhand PTI KOLKATA: Objecting to the JMM's demand for inclusion of three West Bengal districts in Jharkhand and shifting of the Coal India and DVC headquarters to that state in return for its support to the UPA, Trinamool Congress on Sunday said it would oppose any such move by the government. "Since this morning, I have been watching on television that some people want CIL and DVC headquarters to be shifted to Jharkhand. They also want three districts of West Bengal to be included in Jharkhand," Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee said at a press conference. Saying such demands hurt the sentiment of the people of West Bengal, she said, "Whom Shibu Soren will vote for is his personal matter. But if he thinks that this will be done at the cost of our state, we will not accept it." Inflation was a bigger issue to the common man than the nuclear deal, she said adding, "A government may come and go. Elections are due in the next six months anyway. The government should not accept any immoral request." Earlier in the day, JMM chief Shibu Soren met Congress president and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi to pledge his party's support to the government during the trust vote. The party presented a 13-point demand list to Gandhi, which included shifting of the Coal India Ltd and Damodar Valley Corporation headquarters from West Bengal to Jharkhand, besides expanding the state into Greater Jharkhand by including three districts each from West Bengal and Orissa.
