Looks like a nice way of handling this, Archie. Would you be interested
in contributing the code to the extras section? I'd need to make this
part of the build Java 1.5+, but I don't think that's a problem at this
point (considering Java 1.5 is actually now out of support...).

It'd be great if BindGen/SchemaGen could be modified to support this
directly for typed Maps, so that the handling would be automatic when
starting from code. Not sure how messy that would be.
