The 1.2 production release is planned for March 3, to match the 
publication date of a pair of tutorials on IBM devWorks which provide an 
in-depth introduction to the BindGen and CodeGen tools.

I can't answer on the maven plugin issue, since I don't actually work on 
this myself. The developer who has been handling the maven issues has 
not responded to recent emails. If you understand maven and would like 
to contribute to the project in this area I'll be glad to get you involved.
