Mark has a note about this in his recent blog [1], see the last paragraph.
So assume that there will be changes going into jake for some time.
Where possible then we'll direct the changes to jdk9/dev or other
integration forests, esp. for changes that aren't core or tied to design
issues. We'll try to sync up JDK 9 periodically too so that we don't
have a huge patch building up in jake.
