We aren't handling any kind of pushdown projection or filtering in
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ARROW-16855.
It would be better to finalize this once
Both of those would probably be a bit easier to do if I ever got around to
finishing https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ARROW-16072.
