The IdentityReplicationIntegrationTest nontrivially overrides two tests from the Base test. Most of the implementation is copied, but modifications to the copy change assertions that have to do with the backup -> primary mirror flow. Instead of having the Base::testReplication which is active-active, and the Identity::testReplication which is primary->backup only, use a flag to control the assertions for the two variants of the test, so that most of the code can be deduplicated.
