I have recently read about Kafka in online blogs and its official documentation, and I have skimmed through the official codebase to understand it better. I don't have extensive experience apart from using Kafka in a few of my learning projects. However, I have started loving it and have been diving deep into it recently. I am a new contributor and have begun contributing by solving bugs, implementing enhancements, and improving documentation to increase my knowledge and understanding and gain open-source contribution experience. I believe this would help improve my skills.
