[~dajac] Out of 11 changes in the KIP, 9 have been merged and ported to 4.0
branch. The effort for remaining 3 (segment.ms, segment.index.bytes,
max.compaction.lag.ms) is significant due to extensive number of test changes
involved, hence, we will try to merge them in 4.0 on a best effort basis, i.e.
we will deliver this KIP only partially in 4.0. The remaining 3 will go in 5.0
in that case.
You can consider 4.0 unblocked as of now. I will let you know if we are ready
to merge in any one of the remaining 3 next week.
