@chia7712 It seems to me that there is a real piece of work to do here evaluating the effect of non-default values and setting thoughtful bounds. For 4.2.0, I prefer to make no change. All of the testing we've done was with the 500 maximum. We could easily increase the maximum bound post-4.2. Our thinking was that 500 was a pretty good default. Using a JIRA to track this and share the data which we will use to decide the maximum would work for me. If we can make a solid case for a group-level setting, that would be fine with me. I would not increase the scope of KIP-1240. We can easily put in a specific KIP for this once we have done the work. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
