@tombentley After this change, `adminClient.describeConnfigs()` is not backward compatible with older kafka broker versions. It seems, older brokers are receiving empty configNames [here](https://github.com/apache/kafka/blob/2.5/core/src/main/scala/kafka/server/AdminManager.scala#L355). Older brokers does not handle empty configKeys. Due to this old brokers are returning empty config list. We may need to explicitly set `setConfigurationKeys(null)` [here](https://github.com/apache/kafka/blob/trunk/clients/src/main/java/org/apache/kafka/clients/admin/KafkaAdminClient.java#L1952).
