       Well, yes and no. This PR is only documenting the status quo of the 
current (but "old") API.
   
   There is 
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/KAFKA/KIP-478+-+Strongly+typed+Processor+API
 that introduces a new API, including:
   ```
   interface ProcessorContext<K, V> { // this is a new class with same name but 
located in different/new package
     Optional<RecordMetadata> recordMetadata();
   }
   
   The KIP is not fully implemented yet, and thus the current API is not yet 
deprecated.
