Review comment:
       As we discussed offlime, this may not become a bottleneck but we will 
make respective RLMM APIs asynchronous so that the APIs are extensible and 
implementors can provide async behavior.FIled 
[KAFKA-12988](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-12988) to track this 
issue.
