Review Comment:
   @showuon I probably expressed that badly. I added 
`NetworkTestUtils.waitForChannelConnected()` for tests that don't need to use 
the channel and don't care about the current channel state. 
   
   In `SelectorTest.testCloseOldestConnection()` we test idle connection 
expiration and the channel can be in every state, so there is no need to wait 
for readiness (the initial TCP connection is enough).
