Thanks Ben. After a fair bit of trial and error it seems that the Weather, Date, Time plugin is the culprit. If I load anything except WDT then Random Mix shows up where expected. I updated the WDT plugin to the latest (r61), but that didn't help, so I've written the plugin author, Martin Rehfield. Meanwhile, if you or anyone else has some good ideas I'm all ears. Thanks.
