I'm trying to get squeezeplay to run under linux, debian etch to be exact. I downloaded the compiled .deb, installed it and run, I get the following:
Jive 7.4 r5517M Loading: jive.JiveMain 090055:466507178 INFO (JiveMain.lua:162) - SqueezePlay version 7.4 r5517M SDL_Init(V|T|A): No available video device I tried both the 7.3 and 7.4 version, I get the same results with both. As is usual with debian I have GNOME running on an x-server, very standard configurtion. Is SDL trying to find something in /dev that isn't there? Do I need to set an environment variable? Configuration file?
