Still getting this problem... Is there any way from within Squeezeplay (ideally from an Applet) to force a disconnection and (seperately...) reconnection from Squeezeplay to ALSA?
The perfect solution would be for the soft Power Off / Power On functions to Disconnect / Re-Initialise the path from Squeezeplay to ALSA. I can see code within Playback.lua which looks like it triggers the ALSA setup (using decode:open ) but nothing to cleanly close it down. Fully accept that this is a most likely a bug within the Joggler ALSA or sound driver support, but a reconnection from within Squeezeplay looks like the simplest workaround. Any pointers on how to do this gratefully welcomed...
