I documented a brief description of steps I used for extending JMeter to test a mainframe access library I am writing for a customer. It provides a high level overview of the steps. While the extension section of the JMeter docs covers various aspects of extending JMeter, I found an overall process to be lacking.
You guys are welcome to include it with the other on-line docs. I'm also willing to make any suggested changes. It's pretty rough at the moment. It suffers from lack of sample code because the library is proprietary to the customer I am working with. I expect to make an open source version of it available later on based on IBM's tooling for the J2EE connector architecture. That will enable me to include code snipets with each of the steps.
