Gump is the continuous build tool that runs on various boxes and builds
everything from the latest versions in CVS. One of its intentions is to
catch changes that break dependencies as early as possible.

In the case of JMeter, the project files have been enhanced to also support
building the JMeter source against the jars in CVS, and to build branch 2.0
(using a separate Gump module).

See

http://gump.apache.org/
http://wiki.apache.org/gump

and
http://wiki.apache.org/jakarta-jmeter/JMeterGump
which links to most of the builds.

Gump build failures on brutus (and perhaps other systems) are sent to the
developer list.
