It would be nice to have the necessary tools. Your solution would be OK... for you. I would rather favour a Java solution to make it as portable as JMeter is.

I'm using JMeter on OS X for functional testing (thus have various query parameters and response assertions to manage) and it has been a painful experience to manage 1000+ test cases using JMeter UI. I am wondering if there's any application that you guys use that runs on OS X or Windows that manages JMeter test suites. If there's nothing out there, I'm thinking about developing a FileMaker Database from which I can generate .jmx file via XML export....
