Thank you very much for your information.
 
I downloaded the csvAnalyzer and tried to convert the jmeter result csv to a target 
csv. Unfortunately the format in the target csv is not normal and it's formatting is 
not proper. Some junk characters are being shown along with the actual  values. 
 
Further more all the titles are being shown in a single tab. And the number of tabs 
are also wrong.
 
What could be the reason for this. I am using JDK 1.4.

Well, your requests per second is an average. If you don't have them 
all starting and stopping at roughly the same time, the rps number could 
be greatly skewed.
