Dear Tod,
On my side it works. But I am not using Apache as WebServer, I use a WebServer which was developed
here inhouse.
The only thing I made is that I used the sample AuthManagerTestPlan.jmx and changed it to my requirements.
I changed in the "HTTP Authorization Manager" the URL's and user name and password. I also use the "HTTP Cookie Manager"
because the server send a session cookie back and JMeter have to use this for further requests. Maybe you have to do the same?
I use the same JMeter version as you, but under Win2000.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen, with my best regards, Reinhard

Reinhard,
Any chance you could tell me how you got this working? The list doesn't seem to have the answer.
Thanks - Tod

I am trying to use Jmeter to stress test apache v2.0.51 user authentication using auth_ldap. I used the demo test plan from the Jmeter documentation and modified it accordingly for my installation. I supplied the necessary user credentials and proceeded to test.
On the Apache side I can see the request coming in with no attached credentials. This causes it to return a 401 error to Jmeter which would normally cause a browser to popup a login dialogue. Instead Jmeter stops and logs the 401 error.

Thanks - Tod
Apache-2.0.51 Jmeter v2.0.1
