Could you ask these questions again more clearly? I can't quite figure out what's confusing you from this paragraph. TestMaker is another tool that is based on Jython scripting. You might find it useful. You're right that JMeter does not have a component that provides spidering in depth, but it's certainly possible to write one. JMeter's approach to end-user testing is to provide pre-written components that can do the most common activities testers would want. If you find the need to "script", it's likely your component simply hasn't been written, and one solution is to write the component you need. It's not particularly difficult to write a JMeter component, and the list is here to help with that (if you're a java coder).
