All the test elements should normally be children of the thread group,
but that is probably not the problem.

If the HTTP Request Defaults specifies the host www.oracle.com, then
it is correct behaviour for the generated Samplers to omit that.

Any messages in jmeter.log file?

Which version of JMeter? Java?

What port are you using for the localhost server?
