Hi,
In order to automatically generate the user thinking time, I insert a
constant timer into a Http Proxy Server. Curiously, the registered delay
time in each sample, is measured from the begining of the previous
response's request.

I was expecting this delay registered time, being measured from the
previous response. This would have been the User thinking time. This is not
unfortunally the case.

The setting is quite simple:

+Test Plan
  +Thread Group
     +Default Http Request
     +Http Request 1
        +Constant Timer 1
+Http Request 2 Http Requests & Timers generated by http proxy
        +Constant Timer 2
     +Http Request 3
        +Constant Timer 3
+--Workbench
  +--HttpProxyServer
     +--Constant Timer

If you have a web application, define a scenario, when you obtain de
response of the request, immediately send a new request (click on a button
or link); then see what the registered time is. The result (delay time)
seems surprising.

Am I missing something!?
How can I measure the thinking time.

Thanks
