Hi,
I've created a testplan where there are a number of threads which do
things at the same. If I increase the number of threads (e.g. 200)
JMeter
needs more time to execute the threads. Sometimes I also observe that
some
threads could not be processed or the tool just only freeze so that I
could not close JMeter. If I look at the network traffic I also detect a
low data traffic. The CPU is not heavily loaded, too.
Any ideas what could be the reason for that????
The symptoms are consistent with the server not being able to handle
the load and slowing down or hanging.
To see if it is JMeter or the server, run 100 threads in one instance
of JMeter and 100 in another, and compare the results with what you
had before.
I already tried to run JMeter on two different PCs and both show the same
behavior.
Anyway I run JMeter on windows XP.
Which version of JMeter?
Which version of Java?
I use JMeter 2.3 and Java 1.5.

Thang
