1000 threads is a lot. 1Gb of RAM isn't a lot.
You need to either decrease the number of threads (try 50) or use a more
powerful machine (you'd probably need at least a quad core system with
16Gb of RAM to run that).
These figures are only approximate - it depends a lot on your test plan.
