Ya.. that error was resolved to an extent. It was a problem with the application which I was testing. But now I wanted to increase the load on a single machine. What is the maximum no of users a 1 GB RAM can support?? I have already said the details of the test. Is there any way to optimize the test so as to increase number of threads in a single machine itself?

HTTP 500 Error says that your server has error, not load client. So maybe you've reach some kind of load limit for your server. Eg database server has connections limit and you've reached it. 500 error has some technical explanation at your server. What's it?
