Hello! There's Dummy Sampler in my JMeter plugin set (http://code.google.com/p/jmeter-plugins/), you can easily debug post-processors (including Regex Extractor) with it. I use it for my huge JMeter test plans.
NB that Dummy Sampler will be available in next release, so for now you have to build plugin set yourself from sources. If you have difficulties with building JARs I can build it for you and send via Email with instructions.
