Naga,

I recommend The Art of Application Performance Testing by Ian Molyneaux as a
good place to start understanding what performance testing is and how to go
about it. It does not discuss the use of specific tools, but it will help you
set expectations with your boss and your customers. He also gives an excellent
grounding in test design.

The book is available from O'Reilly and has ISBN 978-0-596-52066-3.

Hi Naga,

To my knowledge there is only one book regarding JMeter and I did not find
it useful. Here is one link that may help and when I have time I will
search my bookmarks for additional links. Honestly your best bet is to
follow the examples on the JMeter home site.

I have some older posts on my blog that might help.

Best of luck!
