For proteins this is often used, and is, I think, actually one of the few areas where 'slab' is used at all... at least, I've never seen it used outside that area. Surfaces are often plotted for the active site, often with a ligand binded, and then it might be useful to turn slab on, to be able to view the site from a specific angle, which would without the slab be concealed with other parts of the protein. > Q: If I released something that did not have this capability, would it be > better than nothing?
