Here are the results.
Load time average for three loads of an NMR structure with 20 models.
Using StringBuilder and loadInline(String) 6350 millisec
Using loadInline(Vector,false) 2957 millisec
As you know 3 seconds make a huge difference to the GUI experience.
Given the GC aspect of the JRE I do not know the exact memory requirements
for comparison but the Vector approach does not deplete the heap.
